I did read in some other forums that Vista may be an issue, so I did install the software on another machine which is running XP Media Center Edition (SP3), with an AMD Athlon 7750 Dual Core Processor, 2.71 GHz with 2.75 Gig of ram.

The program is on a box running Windows Vista Home Premium, with a AMD Phenom II X4 Processor, 3.00GHz, with 8 Gig of Ram. It does not crash, but I do have to close it using task manager as it is unresponsive. I even let the system run for 24 hours once it had frozen and the status did not change, so I think I can safely say that the program is freezing. The elapsed time and estimated time keep counting, but the preview either freezes or turns black and I have let the process continue until the estimated time reaches zero and then the elapsed time keeps going (have let it go to 70 minutes when it should have taken 9 minutes based on the estimated time). The problem I encounter is the render process stops suddenly at different stages of the render process (sometimes as low as 2%, sometimes around 20% done, sometimes 50%, sometimes as much as 90% done). I am having problems with the rendering process using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum- Version 9.0b (Build 92). I am almost as green to video editing as you can get, so please bear with me.
